Introduction

Mazurka en Sol is one of Francisco Tárrega's hidden gems. I first heard it many years ago on Julian Bream's album 'Romantic Guitar Vol. 1' released in 1970. I haven't heard any other guitarists of his ilk record it since that time although I'm sure someone must have. Anyway, I've decided to share my interpretation with you all. 

Tips

• Develop left-hand finger strength in order to do the 4 fret hammer-ons
• Choose a ponticello position to make the natural harmonics ring clearly
• Push with the elbow to ensure that the slides remain clear, controlled, and audible throughout the shift
